emptiness. despair. alienation. insecurity. frustration. doubt. These things define our experience of the broken world. God has acted to transform the world we have broken—to restore fullness, hope, peace, safety, trust. Jesus the Christ came as God's representative. He died to the reality of our world. He was resurrected as God's transformed reality.
God is creating a new community of this transformed reality—a family whose identity is the Christ. God has claimed us who hope in the Christ for this family. Though imperfect family members, God enables us by the Spirit of Jesus to live transformed—to serve, encourage, love, care for, and respect one another in a way that reflects this new reality.
